Motorists plying Iseyin – Okeho road want to know if the police mounted road block at Olugbade village has the approval of relevant authorities or not and whether the days of checking points are gradually returning.


Activities of two uniformed policemen sighted on the road around 8 a.m this morning with an army green colour Nissan car, one of them carrying AK 47 riffle came as a rude shock to the commuters.
They however advised against return of police extortion on the road which according to them did not stop crime in the past.


Similarly, concerned residents of Iseyin have called on Gov Seyi Makinde to ensure that hoodlums and criminals did not make the final list of Amotekun security outfit so as not to jeopardize the lofty goals of the initiative.


Two of the residents who pleaded anonymity expressed readiness to give identity of some criminals among the security outfit now undergoing training in Oyo town.


They also called for creation of a medium through which identities of such questionable characters could be discretely revealed, particularly those who took part in the looting that messed up the Endsars protest in Iseyin.
