Players of Gateway United Football Club of Ogun State are expected to resume full training in preparations for the 2020/21 Nigeria National League, NNL, season. 

The Media Officer of the team, Mr. Moses Ojewumi told Radio Nigeria in Abeokuta that the decision was arrived at after the club’s meeting with the management and head of the technical crew, held at the club secretariat, Kuto, Abeokuta.

Mr. Ojewunmi said the team would also participate in the forthcoming Prince Dapo Abiodun pre-season tourney slated for between next week Monday,16th and Monday twenty-third November, 2020 in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State as part of the pre season activities for the club.

He pointed out that the acting manager of club, Mr. Niyi Soleye appreciated Ogun State governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for his continued support to the club amid Covid-19 pandemic especially prompt payment of salaries.

He also announced that two friendly matches had been lined up for the team in accordance with the COVID-19 rules.
