The Ondo state government has expressed dismay over the recent spike in crime across the state.

This was contained in a statement released to newsmen by the states Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Donald Ojógo in Akure.

According to the statement, the last one week in the state has witnessed an unimaginable upsurge in robbery, kidnapping and in some cases murder.

The statement urges all security agencies to come out and confront this unfriendly development noting that every necessary support in terms of both human and logistics aids shall be provided to ensure the safety of residents within the state.

In line with the news statement, Ondo state government therefore directs that all commercial motorcycle operators should start operating within the hours of six o’clock in the morning and stop operation by six o’clock in the evening.
