The All Saints’ Church, Jericho, Ibadan, venue of the funeral service for Reverend Mrs Omotola Olubunmi Oyediran was today filled to capacity with dignitaries and guests from all walks of life that converged to pay their last respect to a woman of great virtues.

In a sermon, titled “Celebrating saintly womanhood as a tool for nation building”, Retired Bishop of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Ayo Ladigbolu highlighted the various roles of women in the home, church, nation and society at large.

Retired Bishop Ladigbolu described the Reverend Mrs Oyediran as one who was born great and lived a life of greatness.

Lamenting the decay in the nation and need for urgent steps to address it, Retired Bishop Ladigbolu called on Nigerians to emulate the virtues of the deceased who by every standard represented womanhood adequately.

Dignitaries at the event include Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and wife Dolapo (Niece to the deceased), National leader All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo.

Others are Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State, Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and Ekiti State governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
