Stakeholder Calls for Media Professionals to Seek Additional Knowledge

Every profession requires training and retraining for effective service delivery.

This was the submission of a former Head of Department, Communication and Language Art, University of Ibadan, Professor Ayobami Ojebode, at the first graduation ceremony organised by a training institute, YES media academy, Ibadan.

Professor Ojebode maintained that academic qualification was not sufficient to achieve proficiency in any profession, stressed the need for professionals to seek additional knowledge in their various fields.

Founder and Managing Director of YES media academy, Mr. Yemi Sonde believes that the three months spent by the graduands at the academy would equip them to pursue a fulfilling media career.

In a remark, the head, YES media academy, Mr. Kayode Joseph charged the graduands to put into optimal use the skills acquired at the academy and be good ambassadors.

Some of the graduands expressed great joy for the knowlegde gained during period of study.
