The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, OGHA, Mr Olakunle Oluomo has attributed the successes recorded by the assembly in the outgoing year to the divine guidance and grace of God.

Mr Oluomo made the remarks during the assembly’s 2020 Christmas Carol of 9 lessons held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, expressing the hope that the New Year would feature more events for the advancement of democracy.

Describing his colleague-lawmakers as progressive minded, the speaker pointed out that the assembly in spite the numerous societal challenges remained responsive and outstanding in the discharge of its constitutional duties.

On her part, a former OGHA speaker, Mrs Titi Oseni-Gomez, urged the lawmakers to continue to enhance good governance through effective legislative practice.

In his sermon, Pastor Babatunde Akolawole, described the birth of Jesus as the onset of light to the world, explaining the divine arrangement brought about improved joy and salvation to mankind, as the entire world had taken away from darkness.

Prayers were later offered for the assembly, the Ogun State and nation at large.
