Police in Ogun State says investigation in to an alleged sexual harassment against the Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun has commenced.

According to the spokesman of the command, Mr. Abímbólá Oyeyemi, while reacting to a viral video where a lady alleged the commissioner of sexual harassment, hinted that the investigation was being handled by the Area Commander in Ogbere.

The command Spokesman assured that the outcome of the investigation would be made public.

Meanwhile the state Commissioner for Environment Mr. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun has denied the allegation in the viral video, noting that the lady was out to smear his name.

According to the commissioner, the lady was brought to him by a political loyalist seeking employment for her as a computer operator in one of his facilitated projects while he was at the House of Representatives.

Mr. Abudu-Balogun stated that he was contacted to negotiate with the family to settle the allegation which he turned down before the video was made, describing it as political blackmail by adversaries. 

The commissioner, who stated  that he had never attempted to sexually harass in his life, pleaded with his fans and loyalists remain calm as the Police and his legal team had been briefed.
