The forty two year old CAC Grammar School Ondo Town is a shadow of itself as the school hall, classrooms, staff rooms are dilapidated, calling for serious government’s attention.

Iron sheets, ceilings, doors of classrooms and walls are all in state of disrepair.

Lizards, snakes and other reptiles have taken over the school hall as the structure is almost gone.

Despite the sorry state of the infrastructure, student were seen learning under the poor condition.

Radio Nigeria reporter, Olufisoye Adenitan, who visited the school, reports that the dilapidated condition poses threat to the safety of the children if not urgently addressed.

Some of the classrooms have close to about 30 pupils but with few chairs, consequently, while some students sit, others stand to listen to teachers.

In an interview, two students, Adeniran Tosin and Olufunso Bola said that the condition was getting worst everyday because help was not forthcoming from any quarters.

The students said learning under the condition was not a pleasant experience, and called on the concerned authorities to help fix the infrastructure.

Also a teacher who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that during raining season ,teachers and pupils are faced with challenges of where to take refuge.

Also Speaking, the principal of CAC Grammar School Ondo Town, Mr Emmanuel Akinfemisoye lamented the deteriorating condition of the school. .

Mr Akinfemisoye said that a lot of people have been contacted to assist the school to fix the structures, but help had not come their way .

He appealed to authorities concerned to come to the aid of the school by fixing the facilities for the student to learn under a conductive atmosphere .
