A middle aged man identified as Tayo Olatunji has committed a suicide at Oke Opo area of Ilesa, Osun State.

Tayo Olatunji who was a barber until his death was said to have been reported missing since Sunday morning when he left home without telling his pregnant wife his destination.

Report says that residents of the area where the crime was committed alerted the police when they sighted a lifeless body in a white attire dangling on a tree in a nearby swamp.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria an elder brother to the deceased who simply identified himself as Mr Olatunji described the incident as unfortunate, recounting the assistance rendered to the victim by family members when he complained of financial problems.

The corpse of the deceased has been removed by some traditionalists who performed some rituals before cutting the body loose from the rope with which he hanged himself.

A police source said a search party was launched immediately the police received a report of a missing middle aged man identified as Tayo Olatunji on Sunday.
