Three Chinese expatriates kidnapped at a mining site in Akere village via Ifewara Community, Atakunmosa West Local Government Area, Osun State, last week Monday have been recused by security operatives.

The rescue of the Chinese expatriates was coming after eight days in their abductors’ den. 

The Public Relations Officer of Osun State Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola confirmed to newsmen at about half nine on Monday night that the Chinese expatriates had been rescued.

Radio Nigeria had reported that their abductors killed a policeman who was their orderly during the attack. 

It was also reported that the kidnappers demanded N500 million ransom after the attack on Monday.
