The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Iraboh says the security chiefs are working assiduously to address security issues facing the country.

General Iraboh stated this when he led other service chiefs on a courtesy visit to Governor Seyi Makinde at the Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan as part of a familiarization tour and regional security briefing.

The Chief of Defence Staff said the security apparatus in line with the mandate of President Muhammadu Buhari would put necessary machineries in motion to stamp out insecurity in Nigeria.

General Iraboh was however sympathetic with the state over the Shasha crisis which led to loss of lives and property.   

Responding, Governor Seyi Makinde, who spoke through the Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, while noting that insecurity breaches in Oyo State were also peculiar to Nigeria as a whole, called for deployment of troops to border towns, particularly in the Oke-Ogun area of the state.

Governor Makinde said there was synergy among the security agencies in the state in the task of maintaining peace and security. 

On the entourage of the of the Chief of Defence Staff were other service chiefs which included Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attairu, Chief of Air staff, Air Mashal, Oladayo Amao, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral, Zubairu Gambo.
