Luck ran against two suspected robbers in Ilesa, Osun State on Monday, as vigilante members of Powerline Community foiled their operation and get one of them arrested by the police.
The suspects, according to a community leader, were caught with a licensed gun belonging to the community which was stolen from the armorer’s house yesterday alongside other personal belongings.
The community leader who identified himself Wahab said the people broke into the armorer’s house while he was observing an evening prayer in the mosque and carted away the gun.
Reports reveal that one of the suspects who came on a motorcycle to retrieve the gun from the bush where they hid it was nabbed by the residents who have been on red alert since the burglary incident was reported.
Confirming the incident, the Ayeso A Police divisional Officer, Mr Martins Bamigboye said his men had launched a manhunt for the other suspect who is presently at large.
