Oyo state has now won twenty five gold medals at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Benin, Edo state to surpass the sixteen it won at the last edition in Abuja.

Rofiat Lawal won three gold medals in weightlifting fifty nine kg category, while Oyo equally won gold in Trado Sports; Ayo Olopon men’s doubles courtesy Seun Aiyedun and Johnson Adeoye who defeated FCT Abuja in the final.

Sarah Adegoke joined the list of gold Medalists when she emerged victorious in Tennis, while Adedolapo Alao and Saheed Adeyemi won gold in men’s doubles final of Darts 701.

Meanwhile, Tawakalit Yekeen won silver medal in the ladies cycling elimination race, while Kazeem Oseni equally won silver medal in para powerlifting seventy two kg.

With the latest record, Oyo state now has twenty five gold, eighteen silver and thirty six medals.
