The National Orientation Agency, NOA, Oyo State Directorate has appealed to residents of the state to participate actively in the forth coming local government election.
The agency made the appeal during voter sensitization and mobilization campaign held at six local government councils in Ibadan.
The local government areas included Ibadan North, Ido, Ibadan South West, South East, Ibadan North East and North West.
A statement by the state director, Mrs Folake Ayoola, says NOA wants residents to see the forth coming local government elections slated to hold 22nd of this month, as their civic responsibilities for the development and growths of the state.
It states that the purpose of the sensitization is to change the perspective residents of the state have about local government election and its conduct.
It adds that the new executives of OYSIEC have promised to deliver a credible local council poll and ensure every vote counts.
