It was indeed a befitting home-going as family, friends and well-wishers gathered for the final burial of Mrs Juliana Adepeju Abimbola.

The occasion which was held at Adamasingba Sports Complex also doubled as fifty-second remembrance ceremony of Pa Rabiu Abimbola.

Pa Rabiu and Mama Juliana Abimbola were the parents of Mr Shina Abimbola, former Director Programmes, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN.

In a sermon, the Bishop of Laughter Foundation Church, Kunle Amoo, described Mrs Abimbola as a mother who left a good legacy, successfully training five children alone after her husband’s demise.

Bishop Amoo used the occasion to admonish Nigerian leaders to be mindful of life after death, adding that they should pursue good legacies rather than amassing ill-gotten wealth.

Son of the deceased, Mr Shina Abimbola said his late mother lived a fulfilled life, adding that he was a product of her impactful counsels.

The occasion was graced by Acting Zonal Director, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mrs Bolanle Owoyemi, who also represented Director General FRCN, Dr Mansur Liman.

Also in attendance were Mrs Olatudun Fatoyinbo, Mrs Ronke Alade, Reverend Niyi Dahunsi, Mr Adeyinka Amosun, Mr Kayode Ayetan and Mr Emeka Ejipo, and members of FRCN management team including members of staff, Radio Nigeria Ibadan.

Mrs Juliana Abimbola died aged eighty-seven, survived by children and great grandchildren.
