The 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME has commenced on Saturday across the country.


In Ibadan, the Oyo state capital our correspondent reports that the exercise which started on schedule in some of the designated centres hosted a high number of candidates and parents who conveyed their children to the centres.


At the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Computer Based Test, CBT, Centre, the UTME candidates were arranged in batches into the CBT halls without hitches.


In an interview, one of the candidates, l lTomiwa Akinseye said the exam started on time, adding that some of the questions were not unexpected as she had already prepared for the exam.


A parent who accompanied her child to the centre, Mrs Kemi Jegede, said the 2021 UTME enrollees had increased greatly stressing the need for JAMB to brace up for higher turn out of candidates in the future.

As at time of filing this report, radio Nigeria observed that non of the covid 19 safety protocols was complied with.
