It is important that well-meaning individuals in the society contribute their quota to education and empowerment of students.

This informed the decision of a nongovernmental organization, NGO, Fortunate Michael Foundation, to initiate an educational and empowerment programme for students at Eyinni High School, Orita Challenge Ibadan.

President of the NGO, Mr Michael Oloruntola explained that he felt it was essential that students be equipped with vocational skills before leaving secondary school.

The empowerment programme focused on skills in soap making, cake baking, tying of gele and turban making.

Some of the students described the programme as quite valuable to them.

There was also a debate session on profitability or otherwise of schooling between Eyinni High School, and Elewura Community High School, both at Orita Challenge, Ibadan.
