Quick response from the doctors at the accident and emergency unit of Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital Wesley Guild Ilesa, have saved the life of a driver who was shot at a checkpoint in ijebujesa Osun state.
The victim, James Ajayi was allegedly shot by a member of the patrol team from the Ijebujesa division of Osun state command for refusing to stop for search.
Gold fm gathered that the victim was rushed to the hospital by the police who hinged their action on self defense as they alleged that the victim attempted to run over them.
Confirming the incident, the state police public relations officer, Yemisi Opalola said investigation was ongoing to unravel the circumstance surrounding the incident.
Report indicates that me Ajayi who sustained a gunshot injury in the leg is responding well to treatment.
