The immediate past Governor of Imo state and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has pledged to establish a school in the border town of Iselu in Ogun state for the less privileged and the orphans.
The Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, who made this known in a statement in Iselu, Ogun state disclosed that the community would reciprocate the gesture on the former governor with a chieftaincy title of Asoludero of the town at ceremony scheduled to take place in September, this year.
The monarch said Senator Okorocha has over years exemplified a track record of unifying people of different tribes across the country through his actions and philanthropical gestures which he noted will improve the standard of education within and around the border town.
Oba Akinyemi said the ceremony will also be an avenue to promote the cultural heritage of the Iselu Kingdom amidst pomp and pageantry.
He noted that the senator who recently bagged a traditional title in Daura, Kastina state is a bridge builder.
