Reactions Trail Ogun APC Ward Congress

Reactions have continued to trail the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ward Congress in Ogun state held on Saturday.

While the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun described the congress as peaceful, some members of the party loyal to the Senator representing, Ogun Central at the upper chambers Senator Ibikunle Amosun says the governor was not speaking the truth.

A grassroot politician from Ilaro, Mr. Adeogo Dehinde while speaking said, their faction had sent proper representations to the party at national level to prevent the incumbent governor from shutting out party faithful not in his caucus from the party.

While Governor Abiodun expressed delight  with the turnout of the members of the party at the ward congress stating that the congress employed consensus mode, the APC faction loyal to the former governor which include all the National Assembly caucus of the party however disagreed with the governor’s list for the two hundred and thirty six wards of the state.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the APC ward congress Committee to Ogun State Mr. Wale Ohu while speaking on phone over the congress said the exercise was in line with the prescription of the Caretaker/ Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee noting that there was no parallel congress in Ogun state.
