Ogun state house of Assembly says it will continue to support women at achieving their full potential.
The Speaker, Mr. Olakunle Oluomo gave the assurance when women group under the aegies of Gender and Constitutional Reform Network led by Doctor Abiola Akiode-Afolabi came on a solidarity visit to the house of assembly .
Mr. Oluomo told the women group that the house remained gender -friendly and would not relent in taking issues of women seriously.
Earlier in her remarks, Doctor Abiola Akiode-Afolabi said the group was in the house to celebrate the African women’s Day.
Various placards with different inscriptions including Zero tolerance to gender base violence, Rape is a criminal offense, were displayed by various women groups, including delegates of Nigeria association of women journalists, ogun state chapter.
