The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, OGHA, Mr. Olakunle Oluomo, has called on the federal government to empower local governments especially in the creation of recreational facilities across the country.
Mr. Oluomo gave the advice while speaking in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Abeokuta.
According to him, the creation of facilities such as additional stadia for sporting activities, will help take youths off the street and put a stop to cultism, cybercrime and other social vices in the country.
The speaker of the Ogun State House Of Assembly also stressed the need for stakeholders to re-orientate farmers and herdsmen on the dangers of cattle rearing on the road in order to reduce clashes, killing and kidnapping to the barest minimum in our society.
He emphasized that it remained the rights of very citizen to inhabit in any part of the country without any fear.
