PDP’s Ovuakpoye Evivie Wins Isoko South Bye-Election

The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Ovuakpoye Evivie, has been declared the winner of the just concluded bye-election for Isoko South State Constituency 1, in Delta State.

Mr. Evivie polled a total of six thousand, nine hundred and seven votes to defeat his closest rival of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who got one thousand two hundred and ninety one votes.

The bye-election was necessitated by the demise of Mr. Keneth Ogba, the former member representing Isoko South constituency 1.

Twelve political parties participated in the bye-election.
