APC chieftain Canvasses LG Autonomy

APC Chieftain, Alhaji Qasim Okanlawon says there is need for local governments to be given autonomy for accelerated grassroots development.

Alhaji Okanlawo stated this while featuring on the maiden edition of a Radio Nigeria Ibadan Weekly program, Political Space.

The APC Chieftain noted that local governments were been poorly financed thereby limiting execution on people friendly projects.

He maintained that local government system which is the closest to the people, should be given priority in the nation’s budgetary allocation for the implementation of projects to alleviate the suffering of the people.
