Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency codenamed “Amotekun Corps” have apprehended a suspected kidnapper, Samuel Lucky Akpan, who allegedly abducted a four-year-old boy at the Alagbaka area of Akure.

The Ondo State Commander of Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, who paraded Akpan alongside 17 other suspected criminals who have been terrorizing residents of the state, pointed out that the suspect had an intent of selling the victim for 200,000 naira.

Speaking with newsmen at the Command’s Headquarters in Akure, Chief Adeleye said the feat was in continuation of the Command’s determination to rid the state of criminals threatening the lives and peace of residents.

The Amotekun commander also disclosed that those of the suspects whose investigations gave been concluded would be charged to court.

The 23-year-old kidnapper, Akpan, who abducted the four-year-old boy in Alagbaka, confessed to the crime, saying he was planning to sell the boy for 200,000 naira.

Other suspects who were apprehended for internet fraud and cultism were nine middle-aged young men whose ages range between 18 to 30 years.
