A tanker laden with petroleum product has fell at the Enugada Roundabout, along Lafenwa in Abeokuta of Ogun State, spilling its content on the road.
Residents of the area immediately made distress call to the Fire Services in fear of possible fire outbreak from the incident.
The firefighters arrived the scene reducing the fear as they cordoned off the area to prevent the highly flammable content from exploding during the rescue operation.
The Mack truck with commercial registration number plate, T-2176 LA, was reportedly laden with 40,000 litres of petroleum motor spirit when it fell.
Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Fire Services, Mr. Kuti Bukunola, confirmed the incident, stating that the tanker accidentally capsized while making U-turn at the Enugada roundabout.
The incident affected the vehicular movement within the area for many hours before normalcy was restored to the area.
