Ogun state Police command has arrested two armed robbery suspects, Edehikenna Stanley and Segun Tope during an operation to rob two industrial batteries from a company based in Ota industrial Estate in Ado-Odo/Ota local government area hostage for hours.
The Police Command Public Relations Officer Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the incident said the police on receiving the hint mobilised officers to the scene and arrested two of the suspects while holding the company security guard to hostage.
The spokesman said exhibits recovered from them are the two industrial batteries, a toy gun and two knives.Mr. Oyeyemi also confirmed that the two suspects had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department as ordered by the state Commissioner of Police Mr. Lanre Bankole for further investigation.
