For the current fight against corruption in Nigeria to yield the desired result, there is the need for President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently sign an Unexplained Wealth Order into law.

The Chairman, Senate Standing Committee On Army, Ali Ndume stated this while delivering the 2021 distinguished leadership lecture series of the University Of Ibadan.

Senator Ndume also maintained that President Buhari should also prevail on the national assembly to pass the proceeds of crime bill without delay.

The Lawmaker, who stressed that the president had taken steps to fight corruption in the country, however stated that a lot still needed to be done to conquer the canckerworm.

In their remarks, Senator representing Oyo North, Dr Fatai Buhari and his counterpart representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Dr Kola Balogun reiterated the need for attitudinal change and independence of judiciary and the nation’s electoral umpire as well as all anti-graft agencies to overcome corruption.

In a remark, chairman on the occasion, who is also a senior advocate of Nigeria, Dr Akin Onigbinde tasked institutions of higher learning in the country to always provide platform for dialogue towards achieving good leadership.
