Some residents of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, have protested the increasing prices of cooking gas for some months now.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria, some of the residents said they have resolved to alternative ways of cooking their meals.

When Radio Nigeria visited some Cooking gas depots in Ibadan, queues were seen at some of the depots. 

Findings  show that sellers are selling the commodity for 700 naira per kg.

In an interview with some buyers of cooking gas, they decried the over 100 percent increment of prices of the commodity.

They appealed to the Federal Government to find a lasting solution to the high cost of cooking gas.
