Super Eagles too Hot for Guinea Bissau…..Secure Maximum Points in Group D
Super Eagles of Nigeria made it three wins out of three matches to take maximum 9 points in group D in the ongoing Africa cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
Interim coach, Austine Eguavoen fielded a much changed side but the performance was not different as they defeated Guinea Bissau by 2 goals to nil
Sadiq Umar scored the first goal of the game in the 56th minute before Williams Troost-Ekong made it 2 nil after a superb skillful display by substitute Moses Simon.
The Super Eagles are now the first side to win all their group games so far in the tournament.
In the other group D game, Egypt overcame Sudan by a lone goal to book their place in the knockout stages after finishing second in the group behind Nigeria.
The final games in the group stages will be decided today as defending champions Algeria take on Côte D’Ivoire, while Sierra Leone play Equatorial Guinea n Group E.
In Group F, Gambia will lock horns with Tunisia as Mali battles Mauritania.
