The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse 111 has visited Ogun State as part of his efforts to identify with Yoruba land. 

The Monarch who paid a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in Abeokuta said Warri people had always  regarded themselves as part of the Yoruba people. 

The Olu of Warri expressed optimism that Ogun State would soon join the league of oil producing states through the discovery of oil and other petrol-carbon products.

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, who led the Olu of Warri on the visit urged Nigerians to promote their culture and work towards a united country.

Responding, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who called on all Nigerians to see themselves as people with common ancestry and history urged them to live together in peace and harmony.

While calling on the Monarch to use his position to promote peace in the Niger Delta, Governor Abiodun prayed that the ancient city of Warri and its environs would experience development during his reign.
