Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Oyo, Most Reverend Emmanuel Badejo has felicitated with the muslim faithful nationwide following the commencement of this year’s Ramadan fast.

In a statement made available in Oyo town, Bishop Badejo and the Diocese’s Director of Interreligious Dialogue, Reverend Father Moses Alaba emphasized that muslims and christians must not relent in their collective efforts, prayers and personal relationship with God during this holy season.

Describing Nigeria as a common heritage, Bishop Badejo assured that the Catholics would always be ready to work together with their muslim brothers and sisters for unity, equity, political stability, good governance and peace as the nation draws closer to the 2023 general elections.

The clerics also noted that Almighty Allah who grants every good thing must have had a hand in the coincidence of the Ramadan fast with the christians’ forty days Lenten period which started about a month ago.

They prayed that Almighty God would grant speedy answers to all prayer requests made during the two fasting periods in order to see a better Nigeria.
