The former Commissioner for Rural Development in Ogun State, Mr Taiwo Oludotun declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat in the forthcoming general elections in 2023.

Mr Oludotun announced his intention during a meeting of All Progressives Congress, APC, leaders in Abeokuta North Local Government and party faithfuls in Abeokuta, the state capital.

He said the 2022 Electoral Act has paved the way for a free and fair contest devoid of imposition of aspirants.

Mr Oludotun, who just resigned from the cabinet of Governor Dapo Abiodun administration as a Commissioner, urged the party to give him support and consideration, to give a more impactful and better representation to his constituency.

The declaration of the former Commissioner for Rural Development attracted all party leaders and elders in Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode, Odeda Local Government.

In their separate remarks, Mr Sonola and Mr Sunday Akintona from Obafemi Owode and Odeda assured Mr Oludotun of their support Also, the Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi, described Mr Oludotun as a good leader to the party and his constituents in terms of contribution to the development of the people.
