Son of former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Idris Ajimobi has picked the All Progressives Congress Party Ticket for Ibadan South West state Constituency II.
He became the consensus candidate of the party as his opponents at the primary for the state House of Assembly stepped down to pave way for him as the party flag bearer at the 2023 general election.
While reacting to his victory at the Railway Club, off Alesinloye road, venue of the primary election , Alhaji Ajimobi gave thanks to God and promised to do the party proud.
“I will make the people proud, I will make my Constituency proud and I will represent them at best as I can against any contender from the opposition party.”
He also extended hands of fellowship to his Co contenders who stepped down for him while promising to work with them for the good of the party.
