The All Progressives Congress(APC), Oyo-State Chapter in the United Kingdom(UK), has inaugurated the new set of Executives under the chairmanship of Mr Bayo Amusat Gbenla, the newly sworn-in chairman.

Mr Gbenla, a mental health practitioner, is a thorough breed progressive having been a strong member of Alliance for Democracy(AD), All Nigeria Peoples Party(ANPP), Action Congress(AC), Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN) and now All Progressives Congress(APC).

Gbenla worked at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan for over a decade before relocating to the UK. Meanwhile, this has never stopped him from the local politics in the pacesetter state, in particular and Nigeria as a whole.

Amusat Gbenla is a force to be reckoned with in Ibadan North East local government political circle, as a business man, philanthropist and socialite.

He was a member of the reconciliation committee set up by the APC UK, aftermath of the fall out of 2019 general election. The efforts that brought many progressive politicians, notable among them was late Governor Adebayo Alao Akala, Sen. Lanlehin and others, back to APC.

Mr Amusat will be assisted by Mr Sunday Owolabi from Afijio local government while  Mr Olasupo is the secretary.

Other members of the executives are Mrs Ronke Dairo, Mr Alalade, Mr Yomi Oke, Mr Ajibola Ogunremi, Mrs Titilayo Oladigbolu, Asiwaju OFAB and Mr Ahmad Olansile.

Among the dignitaries that graced the event were Dr Yunus Akintunde, Oyo Central APC senatorial candidate, representing Oyo APC guber candidate, Sen. Teslim Folarin, Acting APC National chairman in UK, Mr Tunde Dorothy, Chairman, South West caucus, Mr Muiwa Adesua, Chairman, Ogun APC UK, Mr Andrew Adewunmi Taiwo, outgoing Chairman, Oyo APC UK, Mr  Kolawole Saidu and many others.
