Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the reconstruction of 32km Sango-Ijoko-Akute-Yakoyo and 8km Mowe-Ofada roads.

The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile made this known in Abeokuta while briefing Newsmen alongside his counterpart in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Mr Ade Akinsanya on the decisions taken at the State Executive Council meeting.

While pointing out that Governor Abiodun was not happy with the hardship been experienced by citizens on the roads, Alhaji Odusile explained that the reconstruction of the 32 Kilometres road became imperative to alleviate the sufferings of the motorists passing through the area,

On his part, the state Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Mr Ade Akinsanya explained that Sango-Akute-Yakoyo would be constructed in six phases, while construction works would commence simultaneously.

Mr Akinsanya who also said that Mowe -ofada road had been re-awarded to a new contractor, explained that the state government is working on a master plan for a drainage system towards preventing floods often experienced in major towns and cities in the state.
