Women have been advised to strive to acquire basic education so as to make them relevant in the society.
An expert Dr Mabayoje Emmanuel stated this at a forum on ‘Literacy Day’ in Ibadan.
Dr Emmanuel said women needed education in all their daily transactions as it helps in all endeavours.
Dr Emmanuel who noted that education could be acquired anywhere advocated a cleaner and well-ventilated space for quick assimilation of what is being taught.
The CEO of a non-governmental organization, Mrs Adebukola Osho who is the convener said the need for education among women has become important, especially in the technology-driven era.
Mrs Osho appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to help the less privileged women in their quest to acquire basic education.
