The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Osun state chapter wants the people of the state to be prepared to accept the new government of responsive leadership, peoples oriented development and accountability.
The party in a statement signed by its State Caretaker Chairman, Dr Akindele Adekunle said the new era just around the corner will ensure good governance, and running an open government.
According to the statement, the inauguration of the new government under the leadership of Senator Ademola Adeleke on Sunday, November 27th will be a season of rebuilding for collective prosperity.
Dr Adekunle noted that the Governor-elect is ready to take up the mantle of leadership to lead Osun State to achieve the development of all sectors of the state
The party also commended the proactive conduct of the police and other security operatives for ensuring the security of the state and the venue for the inauguration describing the warning to hoodlums as timely and in the best interest of the state.
” As a party, we recognise the willingness and readiness of the police and other security agencies never to be used as an instrument of the political witch hunt. We note with a serious sense of responsibility the acceptance by the security services of the need to protect the sacredness of the electoral process for the sustenance of our nascent democracy”, the statement added.
