We are the credible alternative – ADP
Action Democratic Party, ADP says it is the credible alternative the nation needs.
The executive members of the party from the 33 Local Government Areas stated this at a pre-flag-off meeting at the Ojoo party Secretariat in Ìbàdàn, they said ADP was a party to beat in the upcoming elections in the state.
They pointed out that contrary to the insinuation that the party would negotiate to support another political party, it would field credible and popular candidates from the governorship to the state House of Assembly.
The governorship candidate of the party, Akim Yusuf, explained that the ADP is strategically positioned as a credible alternative, coupled with his Ọmọluabi campaign mantra to win the heart of electorates across the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State.
Mr. Yusuf, a finance expert, expressed optimism that his people-centred manifestoes would be well embraced and elicit massive support as well as votes from the state.
Mr Yusuf explained that his development plans would cut across all sectors, most especially the youths, women, small-scale business owners and Artisans.
“We want to run a government based on the principles and elements of good governance. We will give people of Oyo State measurable parameters to assess us when we get there.
The ruling class have plunged our people into abject poverty, year after year, rate of unemployment is on the increase but we are out to rescue the people of Oyo state and make them self-reliant to enable them to fulfil their obligations “
Earlier in an address, Acting Chairman, ADP, Oyo State Chapter, Alhaji Adesina Ajala, urged leaders and stakeholders in the party to remain resolute and work for the success of the various candidates fielded by the party.
“Our candidate is a reputable and thorough-bred finance expert, he retired as Managing Director in a bank in Gambia. Don’t sell your votes, please, look well, observe very well and vote for the right candidate, Akin Yusuf is the right person and ADP is the right party in Oyo State ”
