Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has warned all Petrol dealers and tanker drivers that are in the habit of diverting the product to desist from such acts.

NSCDC Commandant in Oyo State, Mr Micheal Adaralewa made this known at the Command State Headquarters of the Corps at Agodi while meeting with some of the dealers in the State.

He enjoined the dealers to desist from hoarding the product as it brings unnecessary hardship on the citizens as the scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, bites harder in the Oyo State.

The NSCDC boss further that officers and men of the Anti-Vandalization unit of the Corps would start a routine check on all the filling stations in the State and anyone found hoarding the product would be dealt with.

“Government is doing everything possible to make life easy for its citizens and we all need to support the government by doing the right thing at all times”

Mr Adaralewa, therefore, called on the people of the State to be part of the nation-building by volunteering information to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to checkmate those who are in the habit of hoarding fuel in the State in order to prevent being a victim of fire incidents.
