It is only the grace of God that keeps a man alive because no man can by his own power avoid death.
The pastor of Graceland Baptist Church, Orogun Ibadan, Reverend Adebayo Bankole stated this at the Funeral service of the Executive Director, Finance and Investment, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, Mrs Temitope Caroline Akinwale née Lafinhan.
Reverend Bankole while delivering a sermon entitled, “Mysteries of the Death of the Righteous”, said although death is inevitable and can occur anytime, a righteous man has nothing to fear because a Christian guarantees a person of life beyond the grave.
He charged people to live upright and God-fearing lives in the service of God and humanity, which he described as the fundamental purpose of mankind.
The husband of the deceased, Mr Akinbola Akinwale described her as a loving wife and caring mother and added that she is unforgettable because she lived a very remarkable life.

“She was a good, Godly and virtuous woman, who made our lives easy. She gave us a reason to come to work every day. Someone you can easily walk to and she will listen to you”, Mr Adegoke recalled.
Another colleague, Mrs Toyin Emordi who is the Regional Manager for Ibadan Region under the NSITF, said, “Mrs Akinwale was a jewel, she was God-fearing, she was selfless, she was generous, very intelligent”.
