The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Mr Williams Adebowale has led the convoy of all security agencies in the state to some polling units in Ibadan for monitoring situations.
The polling units visited included Ward 11, Unit 39 Abayomi, Iwo Road, Onipepeye, Iwo Road Ibadan expressway, Olohunsogo, Ogbere, Amuloko, and Akanran areas of Oyo State.
The convoys, which contain over twenty vehicles were filled with armed security personnel, monitoring the elections situations in Ibadan to ensure that the exercise was hitch-free.
Though the turnout of the electorate was low the exercise was going
peacefully without rancour or intimidation from unscrupulous elements.
Most of the black spots places visited in Ibadan were relatively calm as people were seen waving at the convoy patrols of the security agencies.
