Senegal is U-17 AFCON Winner

Senegal has won the 2023 Under 17 African cup of Nations, AFCON tournament in Algeria.

The Young Lions of Teranga defeated Morocco 2-1 in the final of the tournament yesterday night.

Morocco defender, Abdelhamid Boudlal had put his team in the driving seat when he netted in the 14th minute.

However, Serigne Diouf and Mamadou Savane scored in the 80th and 83rd minutes to put Senegal ahead, who held on to win the game.

It is the first time Senegal would win the Under-17 AFCON tournament.
