Content is the nerve of broadcasting – GM Premier FM

Contents being reeled out on broadcast stations must be regularly reviewed to meet up with current realities and the yearnings of target audience.

General Manager Premier FM, Mr Adedamola Tinubu, made the submission at the Programmes Planning Conference held at the office premises, Iyaganku.

Mr Tinubu noted that the conference entitled “Ensuring Quality Control in a Saturated Environment” was necessary at a time like this when there are influx of broadcast stations all over.

The General Manager, who pointed out that broadcast stations were unique and special because of the contents being reeled out, said there was the need to  plan towards  restrategising programmes on the station to be able to compete favourably well in the broadcast media space.

In a goodwill remark, the Deputy Director, News and Current Affairs Department, Radio Nigeria Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr Adewumi Faniran, said Radio Nigeria had been known for blazing the trail in journalism, noting that the station would not relent in being the best which Radio Nigeria is known for.

Participants at the programme expressed the hope that Radio Nigeria would not relent in producing quality programmes even in the face of the economic challenges confronting the country.
