The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command has apprehended a 40-year-old man, Jide Fadipe, alleged to have vandalized a government primary school building in Ilaje-Area, Ilesa, Osun State.

Following a report from a concerned citizen, the command launched an investigation and deployed surveillance around the school area, leading to the suspect’s arrest in the hours of last Tuesday, while attempting to remove roofing sheets.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by Osun Command NSCDC, Public Relations Officer, ASC Kehinde Adeleke and made available to newsmen in Osogbo.

ASC Adeleke explained that the suspect was caught trying to sell the stolen materials to metal scraps buyers in Ilesa.

She emphasized that the suspect’s prosecution would serve as a deterrent to others who engage in similar criminal activities.

ASC Adeleke urged the public to continue supporting the NSCDC in its efforts to protect government properties and critical infrastructure.
