The member representing Ibadan NorthWest/Southwest Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Adedeji Olajide has congratulated Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, on his investiture as the Grand Patron of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.
The congratulatory message is contained in a statement on behalf of the lawmaker by his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Mr Tolu Mustapha where he lauded the governor’s leadership and developmental strides in the state.
According to the statement, Mr Olajide praises the commitment of Governor Makinde to press freedom, support for the media and his giant strides in the massive development of Oyo State, particularly the rehabilitation of the road network across the Ibadan metropolis.
“The NUJ Grand Patron investiture award bestowed on Governor Seyi Makinde is a testament to the Seyi Makinde administration’s commitment to press freedom, freedom of speech, the development of the media industry in Oyo State and also in recognition of his exemplary leadership and dedication to the welfare of the people of the state”.
Mr Olajide urged the governor to keep up the good work.
