Operatives of Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, So-Safe Corps, have arrested a 24-year scavenger, Ibrahim Ridwan for allegedly chopping off the finger and ear of the Shepherd of a Celestial Church of Christ Church, Tella Orelope in the Rounder area of the state.

The State Commander of So-Safe Corps, Mr Soji Ganzallo, confirmed this in a statement in Abeokuta through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf.

Dr Ganzallo said the suspect was arrested after operatives of the corps received a tip-off that the shepherd of the Church was under attack by armed robbers.

He said the suspect, Ridwan had confessed that his mission was to loot the Church, the Shepherd’s motorbike, electronic appliances, and cables, admitting attacking Shepherd’s wife who heard the noise and tried to escape.

The So-Safe commander listed exhibits recovered from the suspect, including a cutlass, scissors, and pliers, adding that the suspect and exhibits had been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Sabo Ilupeju Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
