Over 600 personnel of the Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps, also known as So -Safe have been trained to enhance the state’s security system in tackling insecurity, kidnapping and other crimes.

The State Commander of So-Safe, Dr. Soji Ganzallo while speaking at the closing ceremony of the 3weeks long- training in Ilaro, noted that the training was aimed to equip personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills to combat modern security challenges.

Dr Ganzallo expressed the corp’s readiness to always train its personnel to prepare them adequately for the challenges of providing security to the entire state.

The corps boss who highlighted that the collaborative efforts of other sister security agencies had gone a long way in achieving the success recorded in the state as one of the peaceful states in Nigeria, applauded the State Government for providing an enabling environment.

Also speaking, the Commissioner, Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Ganiyu Hamzat, represented by Mrs. Bose Olaniyan implored all the officers to continue the good work, urging them to apply all the training acquired to their day-to-day activities as the security actors in the state.

The training which was held for three weeks also featured lectures on the theme: “Effective Community Policing as Solution to Cybercrime and other Related Crimes” organized in conjunction with the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command.
