Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has approved the domestication of some resolutions in line with the National Council on Establishments, NCE, guidelines into the Civil Service in a bid to improve the welfare of its workforce for optimum performance.
The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya made this known when he received the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ogun State Council led by its Chairman, Comrade Hameed Ademola-Benco at his Office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
Mr Onasanya listed the conversion to the corresponding officers’ cadre for Information Officers who will now be addressed as Information/Public Relations Officers, as well as entry points of Graduate Nurses and Engineers to Grade Level 10, as some of the resolutions to boost the morale of workers.
Describing the welfare of workers as Paramount, Mr Onasanya said the present administration was working hard to clear all outstanding entitlements especially their leave allowances, adding that the reports of the committees on consequential adjustments would be looked into.
Earlier, NLC Chairman, Comrade Ademola-Benco had listed some demands of workers to include consequential adjustments on monthly pensions, the contributory pension scheme, release of all deductions and leave allowances among others.
