Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has directed the Osun Health Insurance Agency, OSHIA, to commence free enrollment of all Persons Living With Disabilities, PWDs, into the state’s health insurance scheme. 

In the same vein, Governor Adeleke approves the procurement of aiding equipment needed for the respective Persons Living With Disabilities, PWDs, to make life more comfortable for them.

The Governor in a statement by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, said the directive is in fulfilment of his campaign promise to operate an all-inclusive government irrespective of class, religion or political divide and his determination to deliver qualitative healthcare without hindrances to people of Osun State.

In line with the directive, the Executive Secretary of Osun Health Insurance Agency, OSHIA, Dr Rasaq Akindele has unveiled the timetable for the commencement of the free enrollment of all PWDs and enjoined beneficiaries to visit their respective Local Government Secretariat and Modakeke Area Office, for free registration from Monday 29th July 2024.

The program is expected to run till Thursday 8th August, 2024 covering all nine (9) federal constituencies. 

Dr Akindele stressed that the enrollment of PWDs will allow them to have the necessary data and information about their medical condition and how best to offer them treatment.
